The Arc Riverside County

  • Passing of Jim Stream – In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Arc of Riverside County.

My dad Jim Stream passed away this morning after a hard fought nearly two year battle with cancer. He was deeply loved. I’ve never met a more caring and generous soul.

He was a man of faith and we are comforted that he is now living pain free in the arms of the Father.

A service to celebrate the life of my dad, Jim Stream, will be held on, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at The Grove Community Church, 19900 Grove Community Dr., Riverside, CA 92508. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Arc of Riverside County. –

  • Aktion Club Gives Back to Families in Need for Thanksgiving – Thank You!

There is a lot to be thankful for this Holiday Season and families should not have to worry about feeding the ones they love this Thanksgiving. That is why our Aktion Club partnered with Uptown Kiwanis of Riverside, Burgess Moving and Storage, Stater Bros. and Morongo Band of Mission Indians to provide thanksgiving meals for 160 families at Liberty Elementary School and three other elementary schools in Riverside. Each family received a package with a turkey, potatoes, bread, pie and children’s books.

Members of our Aktion Club, Arc Riverside Staff and Uptown Kiwanis members gathered at Burgess Moving and Storage in Riverside to assemble the packages with food donated by Stater Bros and Morongo. Giving back to those in need is the primary mission of the Aktion Club and Uptown Kiwanis. Through community partnerships like these, we can achieve positive change in the community and spread holiday cheer to those who are less fortunate.

Esther Garcia, Principal at Liberty Elementary School, greeted the Aktion Club. Her and her staff were very appreciative of the donation. As a low-income school, they often depend on businesses and organizations like ours for help, especially during the Holiday Season.

From all of us at Arc Riverside, we wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!
